I’m Isabel Lockhart, a Scottish Wedding Celebrant, who can legally marry you! My role is to demystify the process, making it simple and truly enjoyable for you. With my unique approach, I promise to go beyond the ordinary, working closely with you to understand your dreams, personalities, and everything that makes your relationship special.

- Solemnising your marriage: No need for a separate ceremony with a registrar.
- Vow Writing Support: Need help penning your vows? I’m here to guide you in expressing your deepest commitments.
- Wedding rehearsal: Every detail will be carefully planned and coordinated to ensure a seamless experience on your special day.
- Meaningful Rituals: Incorporate meaningful rituals that align with your vision and make your ceremony unforgettable.
- Keepsake Ceremony Script: Receive a beautifully printed copy of your ceremony to cherish for a lifetime.
- My attendance on the day: I ensure that I will be available for the entire day by not accepting more than one booking on your day.
If you would like to include any rituals in your ceremony, you have the option to provide your own props, such as handfasting cords or ribbons.
Alternatively, I can source the materials for you, but this will incur an additional charge. Additionally, I offer a handfasting workshop where you can create your own binding. This will also incur an extra cost.

My favourite type of wedding is a festival-style celebration incorporating meaningful rituals including family and friends. Outdoor ceremonies are perfect – but being in Scotland, the weather can be unpredictable. A “Plan B” is always a good idea!
I’ve been in your shoes…
I recently got married and decided to ignore what everyone thought I should do, to focus on what we wanted to do.
A weight fell off my shoulders after I decided to ignore traditional expectations.
The result? A wedding festival in our garden. My husband and I sourced the suppliers ourselves and literally got our hands dirty preparing the garden and field.
We still get comments like: “The wedding of the century – including mine!” “Can we do it again?”
